Timeless furniture brand Thonet revolutionized bentwood furniture in the 19th Century  when it developed the first industrial-scale production processes of bending wood into curves while wet and pliable. Over the last two centuries it has continuously redefined itself while also continuing to manufacture its original iconic designs that remain popular and relevant to this day. Original founder Michael Thonet's direct descendants in the fifth and sixth generation remain involved in the company's business as associates and sales partners.
