Joe Drawers
Description
A modular drawer system inspired by storage units that our founder, Carrie, first designed while studying architecture. The original drawers were designed to meet two needs at once: efficient storage and the flexibility required for a life that frequently moved between studios and apartments. This contemporary version maintains that spirit of adaptability. Each component, base, drawers, and top, is separate, allowing the piece to be stacked to the desired height.
Each drawer is constructed with dovetail joinery and finished with a cast brass knob. The knob itself carries a story: the original was discovered in an architectural salvage shop in New Hampshire and later reproduced by Harrison Casting in Rhode Island. The brass was then hand-patinated by Moorland Studios in New Jersey, giving each piece a subtle warmth and depth.
