The front legs are straight while the back legs taper downward and are slightly splayed. Reupholstered in 100% wool Nobilis striped fabric.
Frits Schlegel was a defining Danish functionalist architect and designer. Trained as a mason, Schlegel graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and with a degree in Architecture and in 1934 he opened his own studio which he ran until his death in 1965. Though he is primarily remembered as an architect, he also designed furniture and lighting, taking inspiration from the functional and restrained Bauhaus movement. His most famous works include structures in the Copenhagen Zoo and the Tivoli Concert Hall in Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen.
