Antique Folding Theater Bench, Early 20th Century

Four ganged folding seats salvaged from a row of public seating, the kind that once lined American auditoriums, churches and town halls. Each seat has an arched, paneled hardwood back and a contoured seat on scissor legs, all tied to a long rail. Seat six still has its original enamel number plate.
